Meet the third grade team! Our third grade teachers are: Katrina Cotton, Jennifer Figueredo, Deedee Hatchell, Marie Sampson and Belinda Wade. Third grade is an extremely important grade that is full of growth in many ways. Third grade teachers introduce more new skills than any other grade in elementary school. At this time, we are preparing for the TCAP test. The TCAP test will be administered April 5-9, 2010. Third grade TCAP scores are used to determine which students are eligible for admission into the academic magnet, middle schools within our school district. A few of the skills that we will concentrate on heavily are: multiplication, story elements, making inferences, drawing conclusions, map skills, and reading tables, charts, and graphs. Please continue to check your child's agenda and homework folder on a daily basis and review/reinforce the skills that are being taught in class. Let's stay focused! Remember focus + determination = success. |
